About Me

After a varied career in sales, working in a family business and also for a large corporation I decided to put my life experience to good use and retrained as a counsellor. I love my this role and offer a kind, non-judgemental, confidential environment to explore how you are feeling.
I will support you while you look for answers and make the changes you want to make.

How I work

I am a Person-Centred Counsellor, which means I believe everyone is able to learn, grow and change when they are ready. I will value you, offer you kindness, sit with you in your grief, chaos, anxiety or fear.  I will treat you with honesty and respect while you find your own path.

I am continually looking for ways to support my clients and have taken further training in trauma, anxiety, neurodivergence, the menopause and gender identity.

I also teach counselling as I know the difference being listened to can make and want to support a new generation of therapists.

I believe therapy works best when the relationship between therapist and client is strong and that we trust each other. I will never judge you and together we can discuss what you want to achieve from therapy. I can support you with stress, grief, relationship problems, self esteem, anger issues, exploring your identity, confidence, anxiety and depression.

I am also  trained in the Rewind Technique (closure without disclosure) This is an effective treatment for trauma and phobias using relaxation and guided imagery. You are in control of the session and don’t need to disclose details to me.
